Simple ideas are often the most effective. Karaoke + bike = Karaoke Mic Bike.

It rolls unexpectedly into public spaces, inviting passersby into spontaneous singing encounters. Fully equipped with battery, screen, speakers, microphones, and a growing multilingual songbook, it can transform any the street into a stage within moments.

The project started in Summer 2024 with a wish for more spontaneous and unpredictable human contact in the city. Since then, it has connected me with people from all walks of life, through song.  It’s one of the more awkward and outward things I’ve done, and that’s kind of the point. The Karaoke Mic Bike simply creates a low-stakes, high-impact invitation to be vulnerable in public. An opportunity to be momentarily seen, heard, and a bit silly together.
