Klett Wandel emerged in 2018 from the accidental  assemblage of two words in a collage.

The question arose ... "what is Klett Wandel". It turns out it is a lot of things.

This soon evolved into a cathartic alter ego: a means to express the buried, the shadowy, the ridiculous and the vulnerable through sound, objects, trance movement and text. An exercise in world building and an exploration of how insistent repetition can bring things into being.

Less a character than a permission structure for the irrational, the absurd, and the experimental; Klett Wandel is a means to probe and parade unlived and unspoken aspects of the self.

Since its early text and shambolically lofi audio roots, the project has expanded into live performances, sound experiments, a surreal radio series and, most recently, a durational, participatory performative séance. Audiences don’t just watch; they enter the apparatus of the ritual itself, helping to summon, distort, and sustain Klett Wandel through typing, collage, clay sculpting, movement, voice, and sound.
